Community

The proposals include the provision of a new Community Hub which will serve both the existing community and new residents of the proposed development. The Community Hub will provide a new flexible space for community groups, meetings and social events. The proposals will also create extensive new public open space and will expand the existing residential community in Huncote through the creation of a range of house types and tenures to suit local need.

Connectivity

The proposals will enhance connectivity through the site with the introduction of new and enhanced footpaths and rights of way, improving accessibility to the new Community Hub and public open space.

Sustainability

The proposals will incorporate a range of renewable technologies including solar panels on the Community Hub and air source heat pumps and electric car charging points for every home. In addition the open space across the site will include retained and enhanced landscape planting providing ecological enhancements and habitat creation.

CONCEPT PLAN

The proposals have been designed to be flexible, providing a range homes with different tenures to suit local need.

The proposals are sustainable, encouraging walking and cycling with new and enhanced pedestrian and cycle routes proposed, improving accessibility to local facilities and public transport services.

The proposed development will have a distinctive character and identity, sensitive to and reflective of the local area and existing development within Huncote.

The proposals are responsive to the constraints and opportunities presented by the site and in the immediate surroundings, incorporating existing retained buildings, landscape corridors and movement routes.
